This self-portrait of qargo transcends the assembly of simple Lego bricks to become a veritable allegory of self-construction. Each meticulously chosen piece, each carefully applied shade, symbolizes a fragment of existence – a moment in life, an emotion or an experience which, through its arrangement, reveals the complexity of human identity. Here, the artist doesn’t just construct a face: he builds an inner landscape, where the intimate dialogues with the universal.

Shades of blue, alternately soft and deep, invite us to plunge into introspection. The soothing light blue evokes the serenity of moments of clarity, while the darker hues recall the trials and shadows we all face. Each chromatic variation becomes a mirror of inner contrasts, an exploration of the dualities that make up the human soul: light and shadow, joy and pain, acceptance and resistance.

The choice of the number 13, often associated with transformation and the breaking of cycles, further anchors this work in the symbolism of metamorphosis. This is not a portrait frozen in time, but a representation of an identity in perpetual evolution, in search of meaning. Through this work, Qargo offers us a powerful reflection on the inexorability of change, and on the way in which each experience, however insignificant or significant, contributes to the vast construction that is the individual.

Self-portrait” then becomes an invitation to contemplation, a visual meditation on how identity is woven from these small bricks, these interwoven moments of life. qargo reminds us that identity is never complete, that it is constructed over the course of moments, trials and rebirths. The work, like the human being, is in motion, and it is this dynamic of transformation that gives it its strength.

qargo is emerging as an influential voice of Pixel Pop Art, combining the precision of pixels with the modularity of LEGO® to create works where Japanese culture and the 80s meet in explosive fashion. Nurtured by the imaginary world of early video games and a fascination with digital aesthetics, he manages to transcend nostalgia into a totally contemporary visual language.

In his Pixel Pop Art Collection, each work becomes a territory to be explored, a dialogue between past and future, where pixels and bricks respond to each other to form iconic portraits. But qargo doesn’t just pay homage to the icons of popular culture: it infuses each creation with an interactive dimension, thanks to the subtle integration of QR codes, inviting the viewer to go beyond the physical to plunge into a constantly evolving digital universe.

The originality of qargo lies in his ability to channel a hectic professional life, marked by entrepreneurship, to give his art a liberating breath. Each work becomes a breath of fresh air, a way for the artist to let his soul emerge after years of chasing success. LEGO®, that rehabilitated childhood toy, becomes here a tool for reinventing everyday life, a way of reassembling the fragments of an intense life to offer a reflection on creativity, resilience and the transmission of values.

More than just an artist, qargo is a conduit for ideas, transforming familiar symbols into tools for reflection. Each work is a key left to future generations, offering them the chance to reappropriate these cultural fragments and use them to forge a changing world. With his art, qargo doesn’t just delight the eye, he engages the mind and opens up horizons where past, present and future intertwine in a vision that is both playful and deeply rooted in contemporary issues.
