Atypical career

Before becoming an artist, qargo was an accomplished entrepreneur in French Tech. But deep introspection led him to explore his creativity and give a more concrete meaning to his existence. Thus was born qargo, a bold fusion of QR code, art and LEGO®. The artist has chosen to remain anonymous in order to showcase his art, not his person. His creations, mixing art and technology, give pride of place to the pixel, for 3.0 works in the artist’s image.

qargo’s style is resolutely modern and innovative. He uses artificial intelligence to generate unique portraits of inspiring personalities, which he then transcribes into LEGO® mosaics. The reverse side of each work features a QR code, also made in LEGO®, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the world of the personality represented through an interactive digital experience.

Inspiring engaged art

Qargo’s art is a celebration of the values that guide him: resilience, loyalty, respect, perseverance, authenticity and boldness. Through his work, he hopes to inspire future generations and show them that anything is possible when you’re passionate and determined.

Each qargo bears the motto “real to virtual thru bricks”, which has become a veritable identifier for the artist. Yet each creation is unique. Numbered, they all conceal a secret brick hidden in the QR code, in reference to easter eggs, well known to video game fans, including the artist. A single pixel of each work therefore contains a message, creating a common thread between the creations and arousing the curiosity of even the most ardent fans.

qargo is currently working on a major project: the creation of an exceptional work in honor of Masahiro Hara, the inventor of the QR code, and a great source of inspiration for the artist. This giant piece, which will require the use of 100,000 LEGO® bricks, should be completed by spring 2024.
